Case Study: Aitkin Cranes

Aitkin Crane Services is an established Crane hire company with more than 53 years experience. They own a fleet in excess of 85 cranes, ranging from 5 tonne capacity to units in excess of 150 tonnes capacity, including Mobile Hydraulic, Rough Terrain, Crane Trucks, Franna, Pin-Jib, and/or Crawler mounted machines. Aitkin Crane Services aimed to install a low maintenance, water authority compliant system for their newly constructed unroofed heavy industrial wash bay.

We installed a Cleanawater first flush / stormwater diversion system to detect and differentiate whether the source of water falling on the wash pad is from the mains water supply or as a result of rainfall falling on the pad.

Water authority regulations dictated that an unroofed wash area in excess of 20 square metres required a diversion system to automatically redirect rainfall to stormwater once rainfall to the wash pad exceeded 20mm.
